The McKinley Hill neighborhood will be featured in an upcoming issue of the This Old House magazine’s “The Best Places to Buy an Old House."The qualities which distinguish McKinley Hill as a neighborhood to be considered lie in its location, the relatively low price of entry into the housing market for first time buyers and investors, the vistas from the perimeter and knolls of the hill, and a support for preservation of historic structures through advocacy groups like Historic Tacoma, its neighborhood council and at the community level with financial incentives for rehabilitation and restoration.
